Sophia: What holiday is in a week and a half?
Me: President's Day!
Sophia: Shut up...Valentine's Day.
Me: Oh, right...

Aha, I love those moments! It's hard to forget Valentine's Day here, people practically shove it down your throat regardless of whether you want them to.
Btw, North By North-West ♥.

I tend to be oblivious to most holidays except for fall/winter ones. Valentine's Day is a sweet concept, but it seems to me that it's been infected by commercialization and a lot of superficial expectations, so I don't really think of it as a real holiday anymore.

Glad to see that you're a North By Northwest fan, too :) I have to confess, though, that Vertigo is probably my favorite of Hitchcock's.

Completely agree and as much as I love Vertigo, my favourite has to be Strangers On A Train and close to that would have to be 39 Steps.

If you want a valentine's day card, I have an entry where you can give me your address. I'll see if I can't find an asexual one.

ooooh crap. i forgot. i tried so hard to forget it. *sigh* yeah, i'm totally in the same boat. I usually wear lots of black and go to my empty mailbox while everyone else wears pink and makes out with their significant other(or whoever they found walking by) in the hallway.

Sorry to remind you. Valentine's Day seems like a sweet concept except that all too often it's been corrupted by commercialization and selfish expectations, so I don't really think of it as a holiday anymore. Then again, I also think that New Year's Day and New Year's Eve aren't real holidays, either.
